Story: Winnipeg Animal Services is reaching capacity for adoptable dogs Subject: Dogs at the shelte VIRUS RETURN PETS: Global had a story on how city animal service is overflowing with dogs. Animal Services and the WHS say they’re overflowing with dogs and are pretty much at capacity. The adoption craze that came with people working remotely has ended, and many people that were hesitant to adopt before jumped on it then. People are going back to work, and interested adopters have dried out. They’re not getting more dogs, but less people. So, the WHS is making adoption fees cheaper this weekend. Another shelter says it is dealing with similar issues. MALAK w/staff PHOTO Malak Abas story March 17th, 2022
