14112024 Staff at the Women’s Resource Centre work on postcards for their Postcards of Positivity campaign on Friday after hanging the t-shirt signs created over the past week for the clothesline project. November marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the WRC has been busy with a variety of campaigns. The Postcards of Positivity campaign involves writing affirmative and supportive postcards to send out to women and children using the services of Manitoba’s 11 women’s shelters. Some postcards may be sent to international shelters as well. Westman residents who want to take part in the campaign can drop off postcards before December 5 or stop by the WRC on Monday and Friday afternoons between 1:30-3:30 PM to design and write on postcards.
