Manitoba Movers for September 26 2011 - The West End Cultural Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Hooper as its new Artistic Director, effective October 17, 2011. Hooper has served as the West End Cultural Centre’s Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator for the past 2 years presenting concerts and workshops to the community. He acquired a B.A. at the University of Winnipeg and has played an active role in the music and theatre community in Winnipeg, serving as President of the Board at CKUW 95.9fm, developing new Artist in Residency programs, creating opportunities for youth and adults to develop their artistic abilities, as well as producing and performing in a number of theatrical productions.
