A city bus broke down on Rosser Avenue on Wednesday afternoon in downtown. The bus was being attended to at 5 p.m. and blocked one lane of traffic. A staff personnel said the bus just "shut off." The Brandon Transit fleet has been a subject of council attention for years. In January 2024, the city's manager of transit services said roughly half of buses were out of commission on almost a third of days of operation. Repairs to buses and changes to routes have been on council's docket since. (Connor McDowell/The Brandon Sun)
