Story SUMKA FOREST SOLD - A 60-acre property that includes the 20-acre Sumka Forest, which a councillor and some community members have tried to save for years, has been purchased by a developer. Coun. Brian Mayes, who long lobbied the city to buy and preserve it, said that’s good news though, because new owner Qualico will be required to devote some park land to the city and is in talks with Save Our Seine.
