Grand Chiefs, Provincial and Civic representatives, including Premier Wab Kinew were on hand as the new Winnipeg Police Chief, Gene Bowers, identified the first victim of a Winnipeg serial killer, previously known as Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe, or Buffalo Woman, as Ashlee Christine Shingoose at an afternoon press conference that was moved to a larger venue to accommodate everyone who wanted to attend.
