Ruth Bonneville / Free Press Standup - Skills Competition for trades Spencer Burghart from Swan Valley Secondary School works on measuring and cutting boards for the flooring of a his shed he is building with a group of High School competitors at the 27th Annual Skills Manitoba Competition at Red River College Polytechnic (RRC Polytech)’s Notre Dame Campus Thursday. Over 500 young Manitobans compete in over 40 Olympic-style hands-on contests at the secondary and post-secondary/apprentice level to showcase their skills in robotics, 3D character computer animation, construction trades, photography and many more. Gold medal winners of many of the competitions will form Team Manitoba and advance to the Skills Canada National Competition in Regina, Saskatchewan May 27-May 31, 2025 April 10th 2025
