The marina at Clear Lake is closed for work in May as the summer season approaches. Crews hauled stones to the marina through the morning. Parks Canada last year said repairs include that large rip rap will be placed along the sides of the pier, as well as vegetation planted to reinforce the soil and enhance the habitat for species in the area. A new sheet piling wall was planned to be installed, as well as construction of a new timber boardwalk. Parks Canada said the project eliminates safety risks to visitors and staff and produces a permanent solution to protect the resource for Riding Mountain National Park. (Connor McDowell/Brandon Sun)
