Chained gates stand in Ninette outside the boat launch onto Pelican Lake. The gates were installed at all launches around the lake by the RM of Prairie Lakes as part of a plan to regulate access to the lake. The plan was formed to ensure all boats are inspected for invasive aquatic species before being launched onto Pelican Lake, to keep zebra mussels from spreading to the lake.
