Photo description:
Lorna Garabed stands with two of her sons, Liam, 15 (left) and Jace, 11 in front of Pelican Lake in May. With a new $40 inspection fee to launch a boat in Pelican Lake, Lorna said it would cost her family about $720 for the season to comply with the new rules because her family plans to travel to six sailing competitions across the province, with three boats. The family brings the boats back to Pelican Lake to train in between competitions. (Connor McDowell/Brandon Sun)
