MIKE DEAL / FREE PRESS Leaf Rapids wildfire evacuee Liz Charrier was heartbroken when she saw video of a fire consuming forest yesterday at Turnbull Lake, where she went swimming as a kid and now takes her children. The fire was about 3 km southwest of Leaf Rapids as of this morning, while a second fire was within 6 km. Liz is staying at the former Travelodge at 1400 Notre Dame, which changed owners at the beginning of July and is now called Mamawi Wellness Centre.
