Photo description:

The lights from a passing train illuminate a railway crossing sign north of Justice early Tuesday morning, while northern lights brighten the horizon and star trails circle the North Star, showing the spin of Earth on its axis. The photo is a composite of hundreds of images that have been taken using a tripod over the course of half an hour, and then stitched together using a computer program. (Matt Goerzen/The Brandon Sun)
