18092025 Members of the City of Brandon Parks Team work to remove ash trees on 11th Street between Rosser Avenue and Princess Avenue in downtown Brandon on Thursday. Beginning on September 15th, workers have been removing several ash trees in the downtown, which have been deteriorating due to a combination of factors including an infestation of the invasive Cottony Ash Psyllid. Removing the infested trees is part of an effort to protect still healthy trees. The City of Brandon plans to replace the removed trees with new varieties in the spring of 2026.
