20092025 Runners competing in the 50 KM category of the Epic East Gate trail run at Riding Mountain National Park make their way along a trail on Saturday. Approximately 165 runners entered the 50 KM, 25 KM or 10 KM categories, braving the slippery conditions on the wet Saturday. The 25 KM category had the most entrants. The annual trail run began in 2018. All runners earned medals and the top three male and female runners in each category earned trophies. All profits from the run are donated to active living initiatives. (Tim Smith/The Brandon Sun)
