The indigenous take on the classic 1978 musical Grease opened an eastern Canada tour Sunday evening in Virden with their first performance following a two-month off broadway run in New York City, where it earned the recognition of being the longest indigenous off broadway musical run. The musical heads to Winnipeg and then to Canada’s east coast for a series of performances. Bear Grease had its debut at the Edmonton Fringe Festival in 2021.
