Twelve-year-old Lauren Mazer, one of two child actors playing the character of the cowardly lion, watches Emily Gillespie put on her tin man hat, while talking with good witch Njiva Museka, at left. The three girls were getting their hair and makeup done before the Mecca Productions' all-kids musical, The Magical Land of Oz dress rehearsal at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium on Wednesday evening. The musical opens tonight, with shows on Friday and Saturday. (Matt Goerzen/The Brandon Sun)
