Photo description:
Ruth Bonneville / Free Press INTERSECTION - pickles Leanne Creran (daughter) and Barrie Creran (father), owners of Cathy's Pickles, a newish biz named for Leanne's mom/Barrie's wife Cathy, who died in 2021 following a battle with cancer. From the time she and Barrie got married in 1974, Cathy always made her own pickles, come fall. Barrie would lend a hand from time to time, but after Cathy got sick in 2016, she was too weak to do it on her own any longer, and coached Barrie how to make them on his own. Friends & family were big fans of Cathy's pickles, so earlier this year, Leanne and Barrie decided to keep her legacy alive by seeing if there was a market for her dill pickles, sweet pickles and pickled beets. This is for the Sat Nov 15 Intersection. Reporter: Dave Sanderson Nov 12th,, 2025
