Ruth Bonneville / Free Press Local - Stuck in Blizzard Kirby Oryniak and his boss work to get his vehicle out of a snow drift on Victoria Ave. east near Redonda in Transcona Thursday morning. He was on his way to work at 7:30 am and didn’t get out of the drift until 5 hours later. His vehicle got stuck behind two Winnipeg transit busses in front of him which were also stuck for many hours due to high winds and blowing snow. The transit drivers stayed in their busses along the same road for 7 hours waiting for a tow truck. When the tow truck arrived couldn’t get to them without also getting stuck. The driver resorted to doing a wellness check on the two drivers letting them know that a a plow had to open up the road before they could be pulled out. Note: first person info from photog.
