Photo description:

The lights from a passing train illuminate a railway crossing sign north of Justice, while northern lights brighten the horizon and star trails circle the North Star, showing the spin of Earth on its axis. The photo is a composite of hundreds of images that have been taken using a tripod over the course of half an hour, and then stitched together using a computer program. (Matt Goerzen/The Brandon Sun)
