The middle of the three towers is the newest CO2 stripper tower at the Koch Fertilizer plant in Brandon. The tower was driven into Brandon in the fall of 2025, and stands roughly 180 feet tall. It strips carbon dioxide from air so that the proper levels of nitrogen and hydrogen can be attained for fertilizer production. It took 12 days to move the tower from Edmonton to Brandon, due to having to travel at night, as well as through back roads to avoid congesting highways. (Connor McDowell/The Brandon Sun)
