Photo description:
A customer at Koch Fertilizer guides a pipe to the roof of his tanker truck. When he has positioned the pipe above a hole in the roof of his truck, the trucker will initiate a stream of liquid urea ammonium nitrate fertilizer to pour into the tank by the hundreds of gallons. The facility at the Koch Fertilizer plant in east Brandon allows for automated sale of fertilizer so that distributors can fill up trucks and transport the product to stores across the prairies. The truck is weighed before and after the load in order to determine how much product has been sold. The facility is open 24-7. (Connor McDowell/The Brandon Sun)
