Story: Struggling Seniors. How do low-income seniors, particularly those living alone, get by, day by day? I started talking to low-income seniors and those who work to advocate for better on their behalf. Worries flooded into a long list of reasons to take note and take action: isolation, loneliness, anxiety, depression, hoarding and other mental health issues, lack of nutrition, physical health concerns, elder abuse, safe housing, transportation, social supports.
