At 2:36 a.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to reports of a structure fire in a commercial building in the 1000 block of Henry. At the scene, crews found heavy flames and smoke coming from the building. Firefighters used a defensive strategy because it was unsafe to enter the building. The hazardous materials team responded because there were reports of chemicals in the building. Firefighters deployed a drone, and crews used an aerial ladder to spray water on the fire. Firefighters declared the fire under control at 5:08 a.m. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. 260424 - Friday, April 24, 2026.
