Jim Ludlam, the caretaker of Souris’s peacock population, stands where he found two large piles of feathers outside the peacock barn. Ludlam said wing feathers had been ripped out entirely, and dirt was heavily disturbed, and that due to the evidence he found, he believes two of the yearling peacocks were killed by predators.
