Photo description:
Ruth Bonneville Free Press Standup Prepping city pools City maintenance workers are busy prepping the Kildonan Park Pool for a brand-new season—a massive job happening right now at all city-run pools. The process starts every year in late May and takes about two weeks. Crews empty the old water, clean the liner, and fill the pool with city water. It actually starts out brown from rust in the water lines, but heavy chlorination quickly turns it crystal clear. The Kildonan Park takes more than one-point-five million litres of water to get ready for eager swimmers. June 1st, 2026
