MIKE DEAL / FREE PRESS The smokey view from the top of Garbage Hill in Westview Park looking south along the rail lines showing traffic crossing Sargent Avenue, Ellice Avenue and St. Matthews Avenue in Winnipeg. The smoke is caused by forest fires in Northwestern Ontario and poor air quality has been forecast, so, people with health risks should limit their time outdoors. 260717 - Friday, July 17, 2026.
