Michael Sampson, Professor of Classics and a papyrologist,, with a transactional document almost 2000 years old, on view at the exhibit inside the Elizabeth Dafoe Library at the University of Manitoba, Monday. "The Ancient Inbox," the University of Manitoba's rare public exhibit of ancient papyrus documents, opens today. Some of these pieces are up to 2,000 years old, on loan from the University of Michigan Papyrology Collection, and it's the first public display of genuine papyri in Winnipeg.
