17082026 Architecture student Rebecca Grant and landscape architecture student Anastasia Zonenberg, both with the University of Manitoba, install a bench as part of their Downtown Outdoor Art Grant creation Station Bloom along Pacific Avenue in Brandon just west of First Street on Monday. The fourth year architecture students applied for the grant earlier this year and their project was chosen as one of several successful downtown arts projects being created this summer. The project is funded by the City of Brandon, Brandon Downtown BIZ and the Brandon Area Community Foundation. The bench and adjacent planters are meant to vaguely resemble the look of a train, as homage to the train yard directly behind the site of the installation.
