MORGAN MODJESKI / FREE PRESS Family members on scene say a 13-year-old girl was taken to hospital after she was hit by a sedan at a crosswalk near Jefferson Avenue and Watson Street on Tuesday evening, Aug. 25, 2026. Family members say the child was travelling north on a multi-use trail and was hit by a car travelling westbound on Jefferson Ave. and they were waiting for an update on her condition. Police were on scene, keeping an eye on a badly-damaged scooter and a car with a smashed windshield.
