SUPPLIED PHOTO - Cathy Hurd, 51, and her partner Tom Carter, 58, in a photo taken on Valentines day in 2010. Physically the tole has hit Tom hard in such a short period of time. Tom was diagnosed with dementia called Frontotemporal dementia.
