WINNIPEG A child is in hospital in critical condition after being hit by a car in Southdale earlier this evening. The child was hit around 6 p.m. on Shamrock Drive, Winnipeg Police Inspector Kendra Rey said. It was not a hit and run, and traffic investigators are still trying to figure out what happened, Rey said. Police have talked to the driver but no charges have been laid. The boy was rushed to the Childrens Hospital in critical condition.
