Artist Julia Penny started the year by creating one of her largest projects ever, portraits of the 47 victims of the Lac-Megantic train disaster. The artist from Winnipeg Beach was inspired to draw these people when she started a double portrait of the 2 youngest victims and then explored the stories of them all. Julia intends to donate the portraits to the Town and to the families affected.
