MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION INVOLVING A PEDESTRIAN C14-65223 On March 31, 2014 at approximately 1:10 a.m. emergency services personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Regent Avenue and Stapon Road for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers located the pedestrian, a 45-year-old male, who had sustained serious lower body injuries. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Central Traffic Unit members were called out to assist with the investigation. The involved vehicle, a taxi cab, was being operated by a 60-year-old male and had been travelling east bound on Regent Avenue approaching the intersection of Stapon Road when the victim was struck by the vehicle.
