Students at Lincoln Middle School were wearing their pink T shirts and doing the wave while shouting "Stand for Respect" at the Canadian Red Cross Day of Pink celebration held at their school Wednesday. The event included words from James Allum, Education and Advanced Learning Minister and Obby Khan, former Winnipeg Blue Bomber player who spoke of his experiences of bullying and ended with anti-bulling videos produced by the students were shown. These students and staff were among the over 19,000 people across Manitoba standing for respect wearing pink T-shirts. In Manitoba more than 365 schools and businesses are hosting events that include film festivals, speakers' series, rallies, and parades to inspire others to recognize and respond to bulling. see release.
