Wanda Luna, an interdisciplinary indigenous artist born in Chile painted the murals in the bedrooms of the MYS (Macdonald Youth Services) Youth Resource Centre and Emergency Shelter located at 159 Mayfair Ave.   Winnipeg’s only round-the-clock emergency shelter for at-risk and homeless youth officially opened Tuesday.  The artist is part of the Winnipeg based The Dream Room Project a not-for-profit charitable organization helping children and families heal from traumatic experiences by transforming rooms into hope-filled spaces through murals and bedroom furnishings.
