Ernest Dlutek and his wife Justyna came to Canada in April 2013 on a one-year work visa. THey're posing here in their tiny north main apartment with son Antony who was born here five months ago with severe heart defect and has been flown to Edmonton for baby cardiac surgery twice - as recently as June. Now the Canadian government is telling them their work visa has expired and they have to go back to Poland. Their doctor says the baby needs to stay and receive proper care and this couple who speaks English fluently and are both well-educated and eager to work are afraid to go back to Poland with Antony who will need surgery again because there isn’t proper care.
