A man who was shot by police last week, Thursday July 21 2011, after he allegedly tried to rob a Duffys Taxi driver now faces a long list of criminal charges, Winnipeg police reported Thursday. The incident occurred a week ago early in the morning on St. Marys Road and Essex Avenue. Police said John Junior Charlette, 27, of Winnipeg faces numerous charges, including assault and robbery. He was moved from the hospital to the Winnipeg Remand Centre where he remains in custody. July 28 2011.
