Though not a fish was caught, the fishing was great fun for Nikita Daniels,10, and the kids that took part in the Fish Winnipeg Youth at Risk Fishing Program held at The Forks Tuesday. The Fish Winnipeg Program introduces youth to a fun alternative outdoor activity and the participants received a complimentary rod and reel. Through out July and August more that 400 Winnipeg youth in the program enjoyed a day of fishing along Winnipeg's Red and Assiniboine Rivers.The program was offered through the City of Winnipeg's Community services in partnership with Fish Futures Inc and The Complete Angler. see release Wayne Glowacki/Winnipeg Free Press August 26 2014
