Visitors to the Zoo look in vain for tigers Thursday afternoon. The Assiniboine Park Zoo announced today that Baikal, the Zoo's adult male tiger, gained entry to the enclosure (left) where the two young male tigers, Samkha and Vasili, were being housed via a transfer corridor (right). Once inside the enclosure a confrontation occurred between Baikal and Vasili that ultimately resulted in Baikal's death. 140925 - Thursday, September 25, 2014 - (MIKE DEAL / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS)
