VOLUNTEERS LOAD EBOLA SUPPLIES - The Manitoba chapters of GlobalMedic and GlobalFire are responding to the Ebola crisis in West Africa. ¬Volunteers from these organizations have collected Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including masks, isolation gowns and face shields that will be sent to West Africa to help frontline healthcare workers combat Ebola. September 29, 2014 volunteers from GlobalMedic and GlobalFireÄôs Manitoba chapters will be loading a container with PPE at Payne Transportation in Winnipeg. ¬The container will be trucked to Toronto then sea freighted onto West Africa.Manitoba-based Payne Transport is providing free trucking of the donated supplies to Toronto, where GlobalMedic and GlobalFire volunteers will prepare the PPE to be shipped to Sierra Leone and Liberia.
