The new street, which was fully funded by the City of Winnipeg, extends from Kildare Avenue (at Plessis Road) through the old City of Winnipeg Public Works yard and connects with Ravelston Avenue W.The construction of Transcona Blvd. is part of the Transcona West Road Enhancement Project. Nearly 400 acres in Transcona have been earmarked for residential development. The multi-phase developments will include single-family and multi-family housing .
