Geneoligsts at the Centre du patrimoine at La Soci¾©t¾© historique de Saint-Boniface help people search for a Metis family tree to show their ancestral connection. This is the first step towards Manitoba Metis Federation membership. Historical documents must exist to prove the connection, and If no proof is found the application is returned with this "no Metis found" stamp. February 09, 2015 (Melissa Tait / Winnipeg Free Press)
